Wrestlepalooza 2025 is anticipated to be a significant B-type event in WWE's lineup, showcasing an impressive match card. This follows the successful revival of last year's Bad Blood event. The upcoming show is expected to be even more monumental, especially with the new partnership between ESPN and WWE.
Throughout 2025, WWE has strategically scheduled NXT premium live events to coincide with AEW's major shows, including Double or Nothing, All In, and Forbidden Door. However, Wrestlepalooza 2025 is poised to be the most significant clash yet, marking the first main roster premium live event (PLE) planned for next month.

The stakes are high as WWE aims to make Wrestlepalooza 2025 one of its standout events of the year. According to Dave Meltzer's insights shared on Wrestling Observer Radio, the TKO-owned promotion is gearing up for this event. The upcoming Clash in Paris on Peacock is expected to be a filler, with WWE reserving its top matches for the mega ESPN debut and the showdown with AEW.
“They want the loaded show,” a source revealed regarding the Wrestlepalooza 2025 match card. “Cody vs. McIntyre and Cena vs. Brock Lesnar are set to feature. While I’m unsure about the Stephanie Vaquer match, the Indianapolis show is planned to be a very loaded event.”
Expected Matches for Wrestlepalooza 2025
While no matches have been officially confirmed for Wrestlepalooza 2025 yet, reports suggest that the event will likely feature a headline match between John Cena and Brock Lesnar, especially following Lesnar's recent attack on Cena at SummerSlam. Additionally, the WWE Championship is expected to be contested, with Drew McIntyre possibly challenging Cody Rhodes for the title.
There is currently no information on how AEW plans to counter Wrestlepalooza 2025, which is scheduled to air on Saturday, September 20, at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana, via ESPN's new direct-to-consumer platform. AEW recently concluded a successful Forbidden Door event at the O2 Arena in London and has sold nearly 10,000 tickets for the upcoming All Out event in Toronto's Scotiabank Center on the same date.
